Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer applications, or a branch of science that includes physics, OR an equivalent diploma in electronics and telecommunication engineering from a recognized institution.

Recruitment and Selection Procedures for SSC Scientific Assistants
The Staff Selection Commission will announce the outcome of the computer-based test. Candidates who fall within the range of computer-based examination merit equivalent to five times the number of vacancies in each category for categories with up to ten openings will be shortlisted to appear in the document verification. Candidates in the ratio of three times the number of openings, subject to a minimum of 50 candidates, shall be shortlisted for the DV for categories with more than 10 openings.
